Welcome!
Hi! My name is Gisele Marasca-Vargas and I'm a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Transformational Life Coach, Mind-Body Wellness Practitioner and Intuitive Energy Healer (please visit thehealershome.com for more info).
I'm also an obsessive compulsive and overly sensitive animal lover. And I dream of a world in which we are kind and compassionate to all living beings...
As many others, I've been thinking a lot about how alarming it is that so many of us move about in life without taking into consideration how our choices, actions, thoughts, feelings, energy, etc, affect other living beings around us, not to mention our planet. It’s even more alarming how often our complete disconnection from other living beings leads to serious consequences that range from indifference towards suffering to neglect, acts of cruelty or worse.
I’m far from being a saint, by the way. For instance, I’m still not 100% pescetarian; let alone vegetarian or vegan (I was a vegetarian and then vegan for about 3 years, and in spite of consulting a nutritionist to try to do it right, I was never able to make it work for me, health-wise). I still wear or use things that are derived from animals. I’m not very much of an activist, either; so far I’ve been more of a crier and sufferer on the sidelines. So I’m working on myself. But I’m also thinking that our kids hold the key to our future, and most of them haven’t been totally brain-washed yet. And I’m thinking this is a good place where deep change can get started. And I’ve been feeling that there’s something I can do about that. That I’m supposed to do about that.
For I believe we are One. Even if we are not aware of it, even if we’re not conscious of the hurt that reflects and resonates in each one of us when others hurt, it’s still there. It’s imprinted in all of us on a cellular level, as we are interconnected with everyone and everything in the universe. Imagine that you are a drop in the ocean. If the ocean gets polluted, that means every drop of the ocean is also polluted. The whole is affected by each unit; each unit is affected by the whole. We live in a time when has become harder and harder to try to live without thinking about the consequences of our lifestyle choices on other people, other living organisms and the planet as a whole.
I decided to create this website/blog to share stories and experiences with like-minded OC/OS animal lovers (yes, we're making this a thing), as well as offer good quality products for the animal companions in your life and help local animal organizations in the process. Hope you join us! :)
Gisele Marasca-Vargas is originally from São Paulo, Brazil. She currently lives with her husband Raul and four animal companions (plus a number of rescues) in Orlando, FL.
